Bringing channeled spirits together in conversation

Think of all the things you are wanting in your life: more money, time to do what you love, happiness. Then think of what this wanting feels like. It feels like a longing that cannot be fulfilled. It feels like chasing a dream you will never catch. It feels like you are always in a state of wanting. The original meaning of ‘want’ is lack. “The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.” Means when I trust in the Divine I will not lack all that I need.

Today we think of ‘want’ as similar to desire but they are vastly different. Want comes from a place of fear, a place of need or a place of unfulfillment. When we say, “I want a promotion” or “I want my soul-mate.” We are actually saying ‘I lack a promotion,” “I lack a soul-mate.” This energy carries with it the opposite of a positive affirmation and can be detrimental to achieving your goals.

Now consider desire. When we choose the term ‘desire’ it changes the energy of our intentions. Desire comes from the heart. That is why I often use ‘heart’s desire” to remind you where desire comes from. Desire is an energy of the heart therefore a carrying forth of the cosmic design. When we desire a soul-mate, instead of wanting a soul-mate, we are feeling the longing in our hearts and are more likely to take action that follows through with our goal. The universe lines up to assist us in fulfilling desires, as it comes from our heart and not from our fear.

Carefully assessing your words and how it feels when you speak them can assist you in creating the life you truly desire.

Namaste,
White Eagle

Thanks for this information, White Eagle. I love the comparison between want and desire. That definitely helps. I have also found that in entering gratitude for what has yet to be received also sets into action a powerful law of attraction. For example, I say thanks for a parking spot right near where I need to go. And then when I arrive, I find that parking spot. What are your thoughts on this?
